AllThingsD自2003年推出第1屆(D1)後，因為都是重量級人物接受Walt Mossberg和Kara Swisher的訪問，問題也很真針對實務，所以就廣泛引起注意，到2012年時已第10屆(D10)。
所以網友連訪問時的座椅都有興趣。AllThingsD的第ㄧ屆用的是黑色椅子，第2屆的D2開始用紅椅至今。那紅椅已是歷史！！！稱“The red chair”。紅椅可能是Steelcase Leap Worklounge chairs，2999美元。

但重點是，蘋果未來的趨勢，都可在

老人在8年前才知道PC的網路芳鄰和檔案總管
，因為不會用PC。相反的，蘋果的iPhone推出後，當時PC用戶用使用iPhone後，第一個問題就是哪裡是“檔案總管”？
根據Corey Tamas，7年前在2005年的D3，Steve Jobs借受訪問時，他說：
“In every user interface study we've ever done, we found it's pretty easy to learn how to use these things until you hit the file system and then the learning curve goes vertical. So you ask yourself, why is the file system the face of the OS? Wouldn't it be better if there was a better way to find stuff?
Now, e-mail, there's always been a better way to find stuff. You don't keep your e-mail on your file system, right? The app manages it. And that was the breakthrough, as an example, in iTunes. You don't keep your music in the file system, that would be crazy. You keep it in this app that knows about music and knows how to find things in lots of different ways. Same with photos: we've got an app (iPhoto) that knows all about photos. And these apps manage their own file storage.
And eventually, the file system management is just gonna be an app for pros and consumers aren't gonna need to use it.”
Steve Jobs大體是說：“在電腦的使用者界面的研究上，我們已知如何讓使用者方便使用，直到處理檔案時，使與者的學習難度急速上升。所以你開始自問，為何系統的文件檔案處理是系統的門檻。難道沒有更好的辦法麼？.... 
E-mail、iTunes、iPhoto、等都是軟體幫你處理檔案。所以最終，電腦的檔案處理系統就讓專業人士去處理，一般消費者不需要它。”

所以在2005年的D3，Steve Jobs在訪談中已暗示大家蘋果的未來系統對檔案處理的態度和方向！這就是現在的“iOS”系統。
當然，對於專家中的專家，“PC技術宅男”，當然聽不下去了！
