Google決定讓大部份2010年出生的Android手機不能吃三明治

  Google的Android 4.0（Ice Cream Sandwich），
冰淇淋三明治，已決定開放給夠格的Android手機，只是你手上的Android手機不知有無福氣可吃冰淇淋三明治？因為Google自家的幼兒，2010年1月出生的Nexus One不能吃冰淇淋三明治！Nexus One使用Android 2.1，但只能升級到2.3，且不到一年就被棄養，不再被支援。
  Google的“棄嬰”文化事實上早是如此，請見去年5月的新聞“Google說買Android手機快速變為棄嬰手機是應該的”。
   不到一年10個月，Android系統已由2.1升級到4.0，加上全世界的Android手機廠幾乎是每隔月就會有新手機出廠。台灣的宏達電HTC執行長就說過，宏達電的哲學就是在最快的時間內，盡量出各形各樣的手機滿足不同的客戶！所以它“新機王”的週期常常不足兩、三個月。
  而不只是硬體，甚至於許多Android手機系統軟體不能升級，一出場就見光死！因為即使硬體能升級，你也不一定能！因為事實上可不可升級不是Google說的就算，是控制在各家電訊商的手上！
  再以宏達電HTC為例，他號稱最能讓手機升級軟體，但它在台灣卻另外一回事，手機軟體升級都是世界最慢的，這也是HTC最讓台灣用戶詬病之一。請見孤兒英雄機器人有救了。
  Techcrunch com引用Michael DeGusta所做的一個很好的圖表，顯示各家手機可升級的情況：

DeGusta分析提到：
1. 7 of the 18 Android phones never ran a current version of the OS.
2. 12 of 18 only ran a current version of the OS for a matter of weeks or less.
3. 10 of 18 were at least two major versions behind well within their two year contract period.
4. 11 of 18 stopped getting any support updates less than a year after release.
5. 13 of 18 stopped getting any support updates before they even stopped selling the device or very shortly thereafter.
6. 15 of 18 don’t run Gingerbread, which shipped in December 2010.
7. In a few weeks, when Ice Cream Sandwich comes out, every device on here will be another major version behind.
8. At least 16 of 18 will almost certainly never get Ice Cream Sandwich.


  舉例而言第8條：表列18隻Android手機中，16肯定無法吃三明治！
  也難怪微軟會說，“Android只適合電腦專家使用”（見微軟執行長Steve Ballmer認為蘋果才是對手，Android是便宜貨、層次次級）！
  老人：因為只有專家會破解，讓手機升級，能夠格吃冰淇淋三明治！
